I am running a simple eMachine T 5274, i have a new Radeon HD 4890 that I am trying to install everything went somewhat well with the seating but I have to plug the video card into the power source trouble is I have no idea what port to attach it to none fit the cables that came with the card and the power source has no more plug in slots. Re: Radeon HD 4890 power trouble.
IMHO, you are most likely facing two serious issues here.
1) Your power supply does not have the connectors needed to power that video card. 2) e-machine power supplies are very weak and I seriously doubt if you have enough power to run a video card like that even if you had the connectors to run it. They put very small and cheap power supplies in the e-machine computers so it is very difficult to upgrade to a video card that takes any real power. What power supply is in that computer and list brand name and wattage. (that information should be on the side of the power supply)

Re: Radeon HD 4890 power trouble.
Hello,
What is the brand/wattage of your current PSU? Most likely will need to upgrade the PSU. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005
