2x4gig PC6400???

Okay, so my current mobo (Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2) only has two DIMM slots. I'd really like to go to 8 gigs, but I can't find any desktop ram @ 2x4gigs. Does it exist? Links?

*Edit: Can I run PC8500 @ 800mhz? If so, recommendations?

Hello and Welcome to TSF,

Check this out here:

After putting the ram, you will need to enter bios and make sure the latancy
is being read correctly.

I thought as much, look at that price tag. $420. I'm better off just upgrading my mobo I guess.

Re: 2x4gig PC6400???

You would not see any benefit using 8GB of RAM.
Basically the same with the PC8500. You "might see some benefit from the 8500 if you are heavily OC'ing.
