Re: Cable management
Start by running the motherboard cables following the orange arrow, what are all the wires in the red circle? If they are for case fans, run a single connector to the Hard drive and get it off the splitter you can use multiple splitters to put all the fans on one and run it with the Motherboard cable to reach the back and side if needed, coil them into the extra drive bays.

Re: Cable management
OK, so, let me see if I've got this right:
1) Move the motherboard connectors under the PSU, over the CPU and down. 2) Move the wires in the red circle above my HDD. I don't get what you mean with the fans. Honestly, I don't know what a splitter is or how to connect them all with one cable. I just left them as they were. So basically, undo all the wire-wrappers (whatever they're called), and spread them out in available corners like above. Could you please explain: a) How to do all that with the case fans. b) Whether I should move ALL the wires in the red circle above my HDD slot. c) Where I should put a PCI-e connector I'm going to free for when I get my GTX 260. Thanks, --jrockpunk1-- |

Re: Cable management
I asked what all was in the red circle because I can't tell.
The splitter has a female connector that plugs into the 4 pin Molex male connector then has a pigtail that goes off to the fan and the other end is another 4 pin molex male, you could hook more then one fan together off one lead it appears you have one that goes to the hard drive? or maybe that is the front fan that comes out of the bundle in the red circle. The rear fan and side fan if you have one could go to a lead run under the PSU and down along with the motherboard power wires, use plastic wire ties to hold them in place and as a bundle. |

Re: Cable management
What wrench97 is trying to explain on how to connect the case fans:
the 3 that are in the red circle, connect them together first in series (to each other) resulting in 1 end only to connect to 1 psu connector or together with 1 other component.

Re: Cable management
Until I can get a picture, I'll just explain what I've done:
The 24 pin and 4 pin curl over the top of the CPU and fold back on themselves, tied together. The 6 pin GPU connector is also tied in with them, but goes over the top of the graphics card and plugs in. The HDD and optical drive connector are tucked behind the HDD tray, as to not get in the way of the fan. The case fan wires are all in one connection now, and they're folded and tied up in FRONT of the HDD tray, as to not interfere with the front fan also. A connector for the DVD drive is folded into just below the DVD drive, along with the rest of the wires that are left stuffed away in there. I've also left one 6/8 pin free for when I get my GTX 260. |

Re: Cable management
OK, I've took the original picture and added some diagrams.
The squiggly line meas behind the HDD/disc trays, and the dotted means inside it. The rest is pretty obvious. I'll get a picture later tonight, and you can CC it, because there still might be some issues with it.

Re: Cable management
You're supposed to roll them up neatly not squiggly:)
That's the general Idea just tie them up and route them out of the way of fans and other components. |

Re: Cable management
Yeah I have. I've tied the green and red together, all the purple together and all the extra ones together. I've attatched the purple and extra ones to the HDD/disc trays. The only ones I havent tied are the ones that run behind the HDD/disc trays because they lie flat and are sort of "caged" in place (plus I've ran out of things to tie them with :P).

Re: Cable management
I usually try and keep my all my wires in one main trunk. I think that this helps maximize air flow. Here's a link to the picture of my setup manage / organize wires inside the computer. Also, like the commenter before has shown, I like to put excess cables behind the drive bays. By doing all of these I've decreased the temperature in my case by a few degrees Celsius.
