psu replacement
i tried to change my psu on my old pc but when i change it with the same brand of psu which is FSP, it makes a bipping sound.what sould i do please help. my old fsp psu was 245 watts and im replacing it with 400w so i can update my agp card too. is that the possible ? thanks

what are you running
video card cpu m/board ram power supply brand wattage check the listings in the bios for voltages and temperatures and post them put the plugs that fit into the m/b alongside one another and check the same coloured wires go to the same pins on the plug

Firstly I would disconnect all non essential devices in your computer (i.e. CD ROM, Hard Disk, PCI cards, etc) only connect your keyboard and monitor to see if the new power supply is actually working.
If your processor or GFX card require additional power ensure that the power connectors are properly pushed in - Most new processors have a square 4 pin power connector on the motherboard. Some newer graphics cards need a molex connector attaching. If that does not stop the beeping try reseating your memory and your GFX card (two common causes for beeping). If you have your motherboard manual or can find the make and model and download the manual you may be able to diagnose the sequence of beeps to determine exactly what the problem is.
