Red Faced power supply problem

I think that my computer is getting to hot and for some reason just shutting down. After it shuts off the back is very hot and i have to unplug the power supply blow where it goes in and then plug it back in before it turns on. what is causing this to happen?

List all hardware specs, including power supply wattage and brand.
What are your temps like? Cpu, and Gpu..

clean out the case with compressed air. is the fan spinning in the supply? do not use the computer for any length of time until the problem is resolved.

The computer is: E-machines T6410, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 processor 3200+, 2.19 Ghz, 896 mb of RAM. Wattage not to exceed 300 w

well every time i clean it out it wont cut off as frequently, but as time goes and i haven't cleaned it for like a week it will start shutting off.

E-Machine uses Bestec PSU's. They are noted for early failure and usually taking the MOBO with them.
