Odd power up problem

Hey guys and gals...

Have you ever heard of a PC powering up and taking like 10 minutes before it will post to the bios? I am trying to help my cousin figure this out. The rest of the machine works fine but it takes FOREVER to get started. Once it does it works fine. Any ideas?

Check to see if the BIOS is set to boot from network . . that can extend boot times while it searches for data.

What Brand/Model is this pc?

Someone suggested changing out the ram. That post is gone. Any idea why?
