New RAM works, graphics card doesn't

I had 2GB of DDR2 PC2-5300 Ram installed in my computer (which is relatively new), and I decided to upgrade it to 4GB of DDR2 PC2-8500. However, when I installed the two new modules of RAM my graphics card ceases to function properly.

In the device manager the top PCI express root port has this error:"This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)"

The BIOS reconises the new RAM, as does windows under the "systems" tab.

Everything works when I have one module of the new RAM and one module of the old RAM installed together.

I believe I already have PAE mode enabled.

Is there a solution to my problem?

Welcome
Try clearing your cmos.
Pop the button battery out for 30 min ..after you unplug the unit and de-static yourself by grabbing the unpainted part of the case after you remove the side.

Do you mean the circular battery on the motherboard?

Re: New RAM works, graphics card doesn't

Well, I tried that and plugged back in the new RAM and there was no change; the problem still persists.
