Mistake Power Turning Off

Hey Guys, Im new here an seeking some help.

I have just built a new computer and have had the joy of getting it running loaded into windows fine and then the disappointment of finding out that it powered off automatically.
No mater if i turn the psu off and on and push the power button on the case, nothing will power on.

If i disconnect the power to the motherboard and reconnect it, the computer will power up and turn on again, but only for a limited time. The motherboard light stays on regardless.

Other than that im pretty sure that everything has been connected correctly

I have a :
THERMALTAKE 850W TOUGHPOWER PSU
ASUS M4A78 PRO Motherboard
AMD PHENOM II X4 940 AM2+ 3.0GHZ QCORE
CORSAIR 4GB KIT TWIN2X PC8500 1066M
Running Windows Vista Home

Any ideas on what might make it shut down? any ideas on why it wont power on?
Thanks for your help

Re: Power Turning Off

what video card

check your cpu temp it sounds like it is getting to hot and shutting down and you have to wait for it to cool down, then it heats up again and shuts down again

Re: Power Turning Off

Im running the onboard graphics. All Parts are brand new. I Left it to cool overnight, but it still wouldnt turn on. I dont think its a heat problem, I disconnected the motherboard power and reconnected it and ran it this morning and used the onboard hardware monitor. When the power cut out the CPU was running at 33 Degrees with the cpu fan running at 2.8k RPM. I have another 3 fans running inside the case. Any Other Ideas? It only runs for about 2 minutes and then shutsdown completely.
