Blue Screens - Ram problem
I've been getting blue screens for a while, I'm pretty sure it's a Ram problem
I just ran memtest86 & it came back with errors - it didn't complete as it stopped halfway through A few questions - Should I run another memtest, if so what? - I've got a Dell & unsure on the exact spec of the Ram in there at the mo, not sure the site will have details of my build still (prob about 1.5 years old) - Is there a free prog I can run to find out exactly what Ram I do have? Basic PC specs: Dimension 9200, 2.66 dual, 4mb Ram Any help much appreciated! |

Re: Blue Screens - Ram problem
Ive had a look at the 9200's specs, it orginally came with 1 gB ram. Did the BSD start happening after you upgraded to 4 gB or did you get it with the 4 gb?
PC Doctor will be able to advise you of the type of memory you have.

CPUz will give you the memory brand and models> http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
When you run memtest you have to it on 1 stick at a time multiple sticks will return false positives. |
