Confused Matching Rampage II with DD3 PC 16000 memory ???

Hello

I am kind of newbie to this gaming computer building and an currently trying to build a system from the ground(wire) up. My knowledge on choosing memory for my motherboard is rather limited despite spending the month reading everything I can find on memory My Problem is this have ordered a Asus Rampage II extreme to use with my new Intel i7 965e and I really want to get the most memory I can get and the best memory I can get for this board and cpu the problem is this, I really want 12 gigs of ram on the board and would like fill all the six ram slots. I want some really good, stable memory that can be overclocking a reasonable amount. I am wanting 6x2gb sticks of Kingston DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) but my boards specs say this

6 x DIMM, Max. 24 GB, DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Triple channel memory architecture
* Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)
**Due to Intel spec definition, DIMMs of DDR3-1333 or above are out of spec. Please refer to www.asus.com or user manual for the Memory QVL(Qualified Vendors List).

The ** scares me does this mean that any DDR3 that is over 1333 speed can not be used????? I want to go with 12 gigs of DD3 2000 (PC3 16000) is this possible and if not what do any of you recommend??????

Help Please , I know nothing about memory! need help on the best kind how much and what speed to keep games and photoshop apps running well when overclocked while running Vista Ultimate 64 bit

Thanks a bunch.....

David

The easiest and best way to select Ram is to use the Ram manufacturers configuration utility like the one here> http://www.corsair.com/configurator/...aspx?id=763615

That way you have ram guaranteed to work on your board.
