Added New Ram = BSOD
Specs
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz Socket AM2 Motherboard: EVGA 122-M2-NF59-TR AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI AMD RAM: CORSAIR Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Video Card: XFX Geforce 9600 GT Hard Drive: 300GB Western Digital 7200rpm Operating System: Windows Vista 32bit Alrighty, I have been searching a while to fix this problem. I recently bought two sticks of 1GB CORSAIR Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) not installed. As you can see I currently have 2 sticks installed, once i stuck in the other two sticks of ram my computer would crash on start up with 4gb of ram. I took one stick out adn the computer booted fine. About 5-10 minutes after start up the computer goes to the BSOD. |

Re: Added New Ram = BSOD
1066 is only supported by AM2+ Cpu's and then at only 1 stick per channel.
You may be able to bump the voltage up to 2.0-2.1 range and get it work at 800 speed. |
