I have a friend that is using a brand new Toshiba qosmio laptop that has ddr3 ram but is not satisfied with the performance of windows vista. If he were to downgrade to XP will his ram sill work properly and if so will it increase his performance?
Edit: He has 4gb of ddr3 if that helps... |

Re: ddr3 ram question
Ram will still work with xp. Performance gain, not sure, but xp is alot
less power hungry than vista. If switching to xp I would make sure drivers are available for the laptop using xp., ie chipset, sound drivers etc....
