Bad Phsyical Memory Now Dumping?

I have a Sony Vaio Laptop from time to time says Bad Physical Memory Dumping. I was told of the possibility of it being a virus and of course reformatted my computer. Sad to say that didn't work and led me back to my original thought which was bad ram. When I check to see if it registers my ram it does pick up the full 1gb so there is no telling which stick is going bad unless I take out one and see how it operates (which will take ages as the blue screen does appear when it feel like). Also when I experience this blue screen it usually occurs when I'm searching on the internet with FireFox and going to sites such as Youtube, Yahoo, at times Google. The model# of my Vaio is VGN-FS660/W I had for about 3-4 years now so the warranty is voided I am no at my last straw on trying to repair my laptop and I would like to take in any helpful advice you guy/girls have to offer.
