Myth of truth

We all heard about windows 32bit only able to recognize about 3.x of memory even if you installed in 4gig of RAM. But then is there any truth of what is said on this website

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...#memory_limits

It said that enabling PAE will give the computer full access to 4gig of memory so a little digging on how to enable it

http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system...AE/PAEdrv.mspx

So will it work? Anybody know about this feature

Re: Myth of truth

PAE is for server OS's like Windows Server 2000 or Windows Server 2003 it doesn't work on VP or Vista.

Re: Myth of truth

Yea 4 gig that is what xp supports it will still only show 2.8-3.4 but supports 4 gig problem is unlike a server there isn't that much in a nonserver os to use the addressable area.
