[SOLVED] Want new ram but want to make sure I get the right stuff

I don't know how to check what type I need, I do know that this is the type of ram currently in the system:

512MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM

I don't know my processor though, is there a way I can check that through my system?

also, if anyone is able to determine what my computer can handle: Would this work? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820178101

if someone knows of a set of ram, 2 1GB sticks for around 30 bucks, please let me know, if its a little higher that's okay.

Use the memory configuration tool at Crucial . . it will scan your pc and tell you what you have and what the pc can take.
