Won't Power Up!
I have an HP Pavilon 1040N Desktop.I replaced the power supply but it still won't power up at all.No lights, fans Ect.I've checked the switch with a meter and it is working properly.I have power to the power supply and am getting 5volts from the red wires on the power supply after grounding the green wire.Could this be the Mother board?

Well first off! The green lite on the back of the power supply wouldn't come on.And the fan was packed with dirt.I cleaned up the power supply and tryed it again. But I did not know how to bench test the power supply! So iI went to the local comp. store and got a new power supply.Installed it and still have the exact same situation. The system is a HP Pavilion1040N Desktop
