Random Shutdown Issue

Hello, I’m experiencing random shutdown issues when my system is under gpu load, specifically when playing an online game in graphics-heavy environments.

This is a newly (apx 3week) built system, all drivers are new.
Issue: Computer shuts completely off when playing game. Will boot back up immediately (no wait time) with no errors (no blue screen etc). Window’s does give me the safe mode option, but has no effect on performance (naturally I can’t run the game in safe mode).

Things I have tried/checked: CPU temps are fine, I have a huge thermaltake fan on it, PC Probe II shows core temps never above 60 C. GPU temps based on Rivatuner have never been over 70. (Although I can’t confirm that there isn’t a spike directly before the shutdowns, there is no audible change, i.e. no sudden stoppage of the fan).

I’ve tried switching around power supply wiring configurations, switching power strips, plugging directly into outlet, all to no effect. This issue has not occurred during normal (non-gaming) use of the computer.

Non-professional suspected problem: Something to do with the power supply either not delivering enough power to a power hungry gpu, or some sort of spike coming into the system causing a shutdown.

I look forward to any help you can provide. Specs are as follows

AMD athlon 6000+ (dual core 3.0Ghz)
Thermaltake V1 CPU fan
4GB corsair RAM 1066 (matched for compatibility with mobo)
Asus M3A79-T Deluxe mobo
WB Caviar 320GB sata
HP DVDR drive

BFG GeForce GTX 280 1GB video memory (specs state need 575w psu min)
Apevia ATX-LCD750W 750W Quartz

Besides the thermaltake I have a front and back 120mm fan(s), and an 80mm side fan. The Ram also has 3 minifans on top of them

Thanks again.
