RAM socket damage during heavy load?
Can a RAM socket take damage during heavy loads, for instance during heavy gaming??
I suspect that's what's happened to my MB.. during Crysis play... The RAM's are ok but the No 1 channel sockets seems to have been damaged, as the no. 2 channels work fine if i place the RAM in them... |

what power supply is installed?
if the supply heated up during game play,and started fluctuating, that could ruin components.
