Upgrading Power supply for new video card

Hi, I just purchased a HP Pavillion a6352f desktop with specs:
AMD 64 Quad Core
3 gbs of RAM
320 gb SATA Drive
Nvidia 8500 GT

Now as I have discovered my video is not up to snuff for the lastest PC games such as crysis, call of duty 4, etc. so I want to upgrade it to say a geforce 8800 gt. The problem is my power supply is just enough to run what is in the PC right now and I will for sure have to get more power. My question is how much more would I need and how can I figure that out and how do I figure what I can put in the box and know it will work and fit?

Edit: My power supply is 300W output so yeah i am quite sure i will need higher.

Re: Upgrading Pwoer supply for new video card

How about a 9800GT unless you have a line on a 8800GT Deal > http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16814130380
And this to power it.

Ya actually that 9800 GT is a better price than I was aware, very nice! That power supply looks like it should do the trick, is their anything i need to be aware of before i buy this to make sure its going to fit? I heard certain brands of computers have special fitting parts.

On the HP you're good as long as you don't have a minitower case or small form factor pc.
