ram upgrade help
I installed 4gb ,2x2 in my computer and i also left the original memory installed 2gb 1x1. the sequence was blue then black blue then black so the new memory went in the firsttwo and the 1gbx1gb was in the last two my computer is a hp media center m764n under properties it says my computer is 64 bit and it can handle up to 8gb of ram but after the installation it says i only have 3.50 gb of ram installed?

32 bit windows doesn't recognize 4GB of ram, but if you have 64 bit xp it should recognize it all. Are you sure it's the OS that's 64 bit? I searched your model number and it doesn't come up, check it again, think that isn't the correct one.
Put the 2 x 2 sticks in the first and third (blue) slots. This should give you dual channel mode for better performance.
