Compaq Presario won't turn-on
Hello,
I just aquired a COMPAC Presario SR1603WM, AMD processor, PSU is Bestec ATX-300-12z that won't turn on..not sure what other specs you may need and I don't think I could tell you what they are..anyways here's the problem: Aquired COMPAC Presario, started it--it made a distrubing rattling noise, however it did boot up.. Started doing some software installs, restarted it, it booted up again (no crazy noises, no problems this time).. Did one more software install, shut it down..went to restart it later that evening, NOTHING except the solid green LED Light (no blinking) in the back is on.. which made me think of a powersupply issue...so I checked the outlet power, removed it from the surge protector plugged it directly into the wall..nothing, just the green LED light.. The box doesn't make a single noise..no clicking, no rattling, no fan, nothing just the green led light underneath the power supply.. As you can see, I'm tired of just the green LED light..and this seems to be common among Compaq Presarios...anyways, any help would be great... Thanks, Meka |
