Computer won't bootup Please Help
Hello,
I am running a compaq desktop with an Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2 Ghz processor with 2 GB ram and an Asus MOBO A8M2N-LA. Graphics are GeForce 6150 LE. HDD is 160 GB SATA. Today the computer locked up and I restarted it, but it would not bootup. The CPU fan and lights for computer come on but the display is black. The CPU fan is on high speed and does not slow down as it usually does. Does anyone have an idea as to what the problem might be. I disconnect the other devices such as the CD Rom drives and the usb connections and the HDD so all that was connected was the MOBO, the CPU, and the RAM, but it still would not bootup. Any help would be most appreciated. |

Re: Computer won't bootup Please Help
Ok tried a CMOS reset. System is still doing the same thing and will not bootup.
Does is have some kind of Disk check that it tries to do before it starts up? I have unplugged all devices to system and tried to bootup with just MOBO, CPU, and Video. Still hangs up and no video response. Could it be the PSU? The PSU is a Hipro M#HP-P3007F3. |

Re: Computer won't bootup Please Help
If you have a digital volt meter try this > Test your power supply with a multi meter
Or if you have or can borrow one swap in another psu. |
