Which Ram Should I Buy?

Motherboard - Gigabyte P35C-DS3R

Currently I have 2gb DDR II Ram installed & I'm looking to purchase another 2gb of DDR II Ram, but I have some questions:

- Does it matter if I buy one 2gb stick or two 1gb sticks?

- Does the Ram speed (Mhz, e.g. 400/533/667/800) have to match my currently installed Ram in order to work properly together?

- How do I tell what speed (Mhz) my currently installed Ram has? My "speed" I don't mean the amount of Ram, such as 1gb/2gb etc, I mean the speed in Mhz.

- And finally, I just checked a website and there's many different speeds of DDR II Ram available (400/533/667/800 etc). How do I know which to purchase?

Thank you very much. Oh and Merry Christmas all! :)

Re: Which Ram Should I Buy?

You should install the sticks in matched pairs.
TO find out what you have now you can use CPUz > http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
Or go here and use the Crucial Memory scanner to find what you have and which sticks will work> http://www.crucial.com/uk/
