PC/GPU is slow

I think im not getting enough power to my pc, what do u guys think?

550WATT OCZ silent cooling
9600gt Superclocked edition
2 x 6GB ram sticks

Im thinking of getting a external power supply, this should fix my slow games/ other problems no?

What are the rest of your specs including the OS 32 or 64 bit?

Im running Windows xp pro 64bit. After MAJORRR problems my computer seems to be running fine now(i blame nvidia software)...i had white screen/blue screen out of no where...weird stuff
