Spontaneous power-on's?

For some reason my PC I built will turn it self on...

I shut it down using the button and then in about 13-20 seconds it will power itself on, the only way to keep it shut off is to flick he switch on the back on the PSU.

Any ideas?

Why are you sutting it down using the button? Does shutting down through OS do same?

I hold the button down when I'm tired and just want to shut it down fast and go to bed, haha.

shutting down through OS does the same.

FYI you can tell windows to safely shut down when power button is tapped ;)

what motherboard, case, and power supply do you have?

My first guess would be to check the sensor wire, but having a system description might be a better place to start.

Shutting down the computer using the power switch can damage the hard drive, leading to data loss.

Try Hibernate or Standby instead. They're just as quick and much safer.
