Ram Speed
Hello guys i got a question about my setup.
I recently downloaded cpu-z and found out that my ram is running at 373.x MHz but my question is why since my motherboard and ram supports both 800MHz. Here are my specs CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ MainBoard: Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe Ram: 2x OCZ 1 GB PC2-6400 DDR2 RAM (Dual Channel) I went online to check both products support 800MHz or am i wrong? please help! |

Re: Ram Speed
DDR2 800 actually runs at 400Mhz due to the data bus being double pumped. This gives an effective clock of 800MHz

Re: Ram Speed
My memory is read at 401MHz by CPU-z. Everest reads it as 401MHz (802MHz effective)
