Hello,
I am having an issue with the RAM from my PC being slowly used in increasing amounts over time until it hits 98-99% usage and freezes. PC Specs as follows; Vista O/S Asus M'board (Can't remember specs - Late model) Pentium 4 3.33Ghz 4GB DDR3 RAM 3 x 1 TB HDD (Movie Files) + 1 x 250MB HDD (O/S & Basic Apps) XFX 9800 GTX 120" Redleaf Projector Screen via Epson Full HD TW2000 Projector Audigy Fatality running analogue into Onkyo TX-SR75 A/V Receiver running to 7.1 Surround Speakers in a dedicated Home Theatre. I have, when able to, opened up the Task Manager and noticed a programmed entitled "audiolog.exe" sucking up a serious amount of RAM. On other occassions I am unable to locate any specific files using excessive amounts of RAM.... Curious as to whether this could be to do with the A/V Receiver. Sound stops when the RAM usage gets to about 80%..... Whole process normally happens within 3 hours of turning on the PC. As an FYI I have installed and run Norton Internet Security 2009 with full scan to no avail incase it is Malware. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated..... |

Re: Slow RAM Drain in Vista
The only legitimate audiolog.exe I know of is a call logging program for Avaya Phone systems so if your not running a phone system on your pc I would think it's malware
