Red Faced 2 DDR2 800 SD-RAM slots

Hi,

I'm looking to by a computer, and am interested in this one: http://sp.fujitsu-siemens.com/dmsp/d...dt-pi-3630.pdf

It says it has "2 DDR2 800 SD-RAM slots"; please can someone tell me what speed the RAM will run at in mhz. I'm presuming it comes with the optimum RAM installed.

Thanks,
~Andy

Re: 2 DDR2 800 SD-RAM slots

DDR2 800 is 800Mhz what they actually put in it is another story and may vary by the month of production.
All they are committing to is DDR2 and 800 speed slots with the handy disclaimer at the bottom
"The configuration described in this document is an example only and non-binding. For the exact
configuration of your AMILO Desktop, please contact your licensed dealer."

Re: 2 DDR2 800 SD-RAM slots

Thanks.

The PC is actually £599, so I'm hoping they'll put something good that runs around the 800mhz mark.

My dealer says: "4096MB DDR2 SD RAM"; so nothing spilled there.

Re: 2 DDR2 800 SD-RAM slots

If I may (sorry for a double post, but it saves a new topic)...

The Motherboard: NVIDIA® nForce® 630i - Will this Mother board be able to support my current VGA monitor through the Mother Board until I can find a DVI monitor to use through the graphics card?

Power Supply: Size ATX; Voltage 220 – 240 V; Frequency 50 – 60 Hz; Max. Output 400 W... I this up to the correct standards?

Re: 2 DDR2 800 SD-RAM slots

It says it has a 9600GT video card 400w is light for a pcie card but it's not out of line with what other manufactures are doing I wouldn't put a 400w psu in anything with a pcie card but it's their warranty for at least a year.
And yes the card will run a VGA monitor through a dvi to vga adapter just fine ask the dealer it it comes with the adapter.

Re: 2 DDR2 800 SD-RAM slots

As long as it's not out of line I guess it'll be ok; I won't be over clocking anything so I guess that will be ok. As you said it's stock with their components & year's warranty.

Thanks a lot for all the input.
