4 stick of memory = no boot....

Let me start by telling you what i have
Mobo = xfx nForce 780i SLI
Vcard: xfx Geforce 8800 GTS AD edition
CPU = Q6600 Quad
PS = 750 watts
Memory = OCZ Flex XLC DDR2 1200 (pc2 9600) 4 x 1GB sticks
OS = Win XP Pro w/SP3 (32 bit)

My problem is that I can run it with no issues as long as I use 3 sticks, the minute I put in a 4 stick I cant boot due to a c1 error..

any help will be greatly appreciated

Re: 4 stick of memory = no boot....

What voltage are you running the sticks at and what voltage are the sticks rated for?
You may have to bump the voltage up .1 or .2 when using 4 sticks.

Re: 4 stick of memory = no boot....

I tried running them as high as 2.200 the nforce SPP set at 1.45 with timings of 5-5-5-18 a CMD of 2T and in advance memory settings trc of 31 and a Mem DDR MHz of 800 (all info I have found from trying to research on my own) they supposedly run 2.100 according to the sticker ont them
But this does not work

Re: 4 stick of memory = no boot....

Wish I could say I haven't seen it before but I have, The best solution I've found is to use 2x 2gig sticks the only other is to keep trying different brands until you find 1 that works I had those boards work with Corsair on one and then not the next one.
