[SOLVED] Dell 4700 will not boot up
After hitting the on button, the computer hard disk whrills then stops and the left light on the tower lights amber. this has happened a few times but I've had success after turning power off and waiting a few minutes.
It seems it's in a sleep state but I cannot get it to wake up by keyboard or mouse actions. |

Re: Dell 4700 will not boot up
I seemed to have got the 4700 running by pulling the mother board battery out overnight. When I put it back in, it booted fine. It seems that the bios was screwed up and needed to be reset. I hear one can also toggle the bios jumper temporarily by putting the battery in between toggles.
