daft question

maybe a daft question but I am putting in a new 650w psu into my tower. Do I face the fan to top of case or face the fan downwards?

The fan depending on the type of PSU faces outward to the back or down.

IF the PSU goes in the top of the case put the lettering right side up if it goes in the bottom of the case what brand and model case do you have?

i have a hp dx2400 and i have measured up and made sure it fits (its the same size as my existing 300w lite on ps5301). It will go in the top
