high tone while pc is turned off

When I turn the pc off, I still hear a high tone pinch sound, I'm not sure where it comes from. And only when I turn off the power supply as well, the sound dissapears. So what is this sound and what part does it come from? The videocard has already been removed.

Re: high tone while pc is turned off

I checked the capacitors, but there was no goo coming out. I listened more closely and the sound seems to come from the power supply. What does this mean? When I turn the power supply off, the sounds brakes down like a motor when it's coming to a halt, and then it's quiet.

Re: high tone while pc is turned off

Is the fan in the PSU still spinning when the PC is turned off?
The PSU has caps in it also.
