Power supply help
I have purchased a dell 650 watt power supply to upgrade from my 450 watt power supply, but this power supply has a 10 pin p2 cable as opposed to my old psu's 8 pin p2 cable. I have an atx motherboard which has an 8 pin female connector, as if specifically made for my old psu. Should i plug in my 10 pin p2 cable and just leave the 2 extra pins hanging or what? this is really weird.

Re: Power supply help
It's a Dell.
Is this a XPS Gen 5 with the PSU on the bottom? Match up the wire colors are they the other than the extra 2 on one end or the other? |

Re: Power supply help
Here is the pin outs for the 2 I don't see a 10 pin p2 for either and have swapped the 460 and 650 in the past(XPS Gen 5) are you sure you have the correct one?

Re: Power supply help
I found it you have a power supply for a XPS600 and either a XPS Gen 4 or 5 motherboard
