Problem Starting Vaio Desktop
Vaio
VGCRB-40 desktop I had a problem with corrupted win XP home, which i damaged during a defrag process. Windows booted but went blue after a few seconds. I removed the hard disk and backed up the HD with an external connector. Backup was fine- no probs. when I reinstalled the HD, the computer wont start. Never had a power problem before. The green power light on the back of computer and MB just blinks. Connector is SATA. I removed reattached connectors with no luck. Reattached the powered external download connector i used for the download and it still works and the HD starts and reads fine. So I know the HD is fine and the power connector on the HD hasnt been damaged. I detached the power connector from the motherboard and reattached to see if that made a difference- no luck. There are 3-4 power connections on the cable that runs to the HD- tried all of the and none work. Any ideas? Perhaps a reset somewhere? Appreciate your help |
