I already asked the technician before I bought the 1gb Hynix DDR400 if it will work in my computer then he told me that the memory itself will downgrade to DDR333 to match the speed. Okay, I already put the memory in the slot and at first the computer run smoothly but after 30 minutes when I tried to watch a movie it suddenly stop (hanged) and then my computer got restarted. I ignore it at first but it restarted again.
I was wondering how will I fix this problem? Is really DDR400 will work in my computer? Please help me,. rane |

Re: Can I use DDR400 as an upgrade to my DDR333?
DDR 400 will work ok. It will just run at DDR 333 speeds.
There could be a problem with the RAM though, which is causing the crash. Do you get any error info in the event logs? Try running a memtest on the RAM as that will tell you if there's anything wrong with it. I recommend memtest86 - it's a free download, and you need to make a boot CD with it. |
