Random Freezes
Hello everyone,
My problem is that my pc freezes randomly, my screen freeze and no input from mouse or keyboard works, only think i can do is to reset my pc. It doesn't depend from what i m doing, it may happen when i am playing or when PC is idle. Its not software problem cause it happens on windows and linux too. Also i check my cpu temperature and is just fine (~40c).I have changed many things in BIOS like RAM timiming/frequency, FSB etc but with no luck(atm is everything in auto/default). I start thinking that is RAM or PSU problem, but i would like to hear a more professional point of view :). Below are my pc specs and some other info that may be usefull. CPU: Intel E8500 RAM: Corsair CM3X2048 4GB 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 PSU: Thermatake Toughpower 850w Mobo: Asus P5E64 WS Pro GPU: G-Force 9800GX2 Volts +3,3 -> 3.26 +5 -> 5.06 +12 -> 12.10 Vcore -> 1.12 PS: The PC is newly build Thanks in Advance! Re: Random Freezes
Let's take another look at the temps and the voltages. Download and run SensorviewPro and report both the votage and temperatures when you first start up. Then, put the computer under stress (like a game) and report the temps while you are stressing the CPU. This will give us another look at that issue.
Just to make sure everything is back to normal, I would clear the cmos and run the board with those settings with just a few basic tweaks like raid on or off depending upon what you are doing. You also did not mention the hard drive types, so it might help if we knew that issue status.

Re: Random Freezes
From BIOS
CPU -> 1.264 3.3v -> 3.264 5v -> 5.064 12 -> 12.06 I read that my ram 'works' on 1.80v so i put it 1.8 on my BIOS (previously was on auto). Weird thing is tha before and after the voltage change cpu-z reports me 1.5.. |

Re: Random Freezes
After 3 days of flawless operation (with my ram voltage at 1.80) my pc froze 2 times today. Both times my pc was almost idle. I also did two memtest checks for 10 hours with one RAM stick each time. Both times i got 1 error. May this be the source of the problem?

Re: Random Freezes
found this check your timings
talk to corsair about the error [Corsair Dominator TW3X4G1800C8DF G kit consists of two 2GB modules, each marked as CM3X2048-1800C8D. The memory is designed to work at 1800MHz with 8-8-8-24 timings and 1.8V nominal voltage.]
