Some Questions.
Well I was wondering a few things about power supplies....
First, What is the difference between Modular and not.... (OTHER than that the cable can be removed.. EX- Pros, cons) Second, Who is considered the best power supply maker??? I hear that Antec is but I am not sure... Third, Was it a good choice to buy this PSU? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153034 My computer specs can be found <---------- Thanks in advance Last edited by Warfare; 10-16-2008 at 07:06 PM. |

Re: Some Questions.
Basically, there is not much difference between a modular and a non-modular except the cables are messier with the non-modular while the modular you use the cables you need. Therefore, I would not worry about which you select since it is basically personal choice.
Antec is not one of the best power supplies on the market, and their quality IMHO has been declining over the past year or so as they changed from a top-of-the-line supplier to an unknown entity to manufacturer their power supplies. Personally, I no longer sell or recommend the Antec power supplies, but do use their cases and case fans which do seem to be excellent quality at this time. Here is a list of Top Quality power supply makes and models: Seasonic – Any Model Corsair – Any Model PC Power & Cooling – Any Model Thermaltake – “Toughpower” Series Only Coolermaster – “Real Power Pro” Series Only Silverstone – Any Model
