dell 4600 memory
can i use a pc 3200 sdram 128x64 1 gb low density 184 pin model number
1GBUFURTSNAC in the dell 4600 i want to add 2 x 1gb to my 512 this ram is out of a gx280 dell is what im being told when i look it up it states the gx280 is a 200 pin any suggestions is this model number a 184 pin and compatible to my 4600 dell system thanks |

I've had good success running crucial in, what was mine and is now my mom's PC. It has the 2 stock dell 256's plus 2 crucials 512's.

can you put to much gb in the 4600 it has the 2 stock 256 i wanted to put 2 x 1 gb in would it over heat i read about the dells over heating and the fan s running loud mine also does that would 2 512 be enough for home use just got the dsl lite it faster but sometimes pages open slow

I've got a pair of 256's and a pair of 512's in the 4600 at home. Should be able to take 4 512's, not so sure on dual 1GB's.

fast enough to be a regular desktop. It was decent for gaming, but the AGP held it back a little. I had the P4 2.8GHz, 1.5 GB RAM, and a BFG 5500OC, and i'd run in the mid 50-70 FPS in GTR2. Now my mom uses it for a desktop.
