Question about RAM I just bought...
Hello, I have two questions... To start off, I just bought a set of Kingston DDR2 667 1GB RAM sticks from newegg (Newegg.com - Kingston 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory) and was wondering if it was compatible with my motherboard, an ASRock 4CoreDual-Sata2 (Newegg.com - ASRock 4CoreDual-SATA2 LGA 775 VIA PT880 Pro/PT880 Ultra ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards). Also, would it be possible for someone "tweak" the BIOs making certain RAM incompatible, for example the set I just bought? Thanks in advance.

Re: Question about RAM I just bought...
Hello there...
Yes, according to AsRock's Web Site you can use RAM that you have bought: http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=4CoreDual-SATA2%20R2.0 As I can see on their Web Site, you have both DDR + DDR2 DIMM slots... make sure you place RAM properly... |
