Problem with new build no screen
i have the same mother board and cpu + 2gig x2 Kingston hypex + power supply coolmaster extreme power duo 650w + xfx 8800gtx 768mb. The fan start spinning and i can see my power light is on but on my monitor i didnt see anything xept the black screen. I take everything out and put them all back together also check to see if i miss any unplug wires then try again a few times but its still the same, still didnt get any signal from the monitor. is it that my M-board is not compatible w/ the memory ? or i should exchange for a dif mother board ?
thank you Last edited by x3x; 09-14-2008 at 12:23 AM. |

Re: Problem with new build no screen
are you seeing the post screens
if not set it up out of the case on a piece of cardboard with cpu video ram speaker and see if you get post check you have the correct amount of standoffs no more no less that they line up with the holes in the m/board usually 9

Re: Problem with new build no screen
post is the computer has booted correctly
you know this by the single bios you hear when you start the computer standoffs are what screw into the backing plate and the m/b attaches to you have to have 1 for each hole and they must line up with the holes no more and no less your inicial post says you are using this card xfx 8800gtx if it is inserted into the m/b use it or remove it from the slot
