will 800mhz mem work on mobo rated for 667
Hi all, I have a biostar memory board with 2 gig of 667mhz memory, i am going to get 2 2gb sticks of memory, I overclock sometimes and notice that the memory speed also goes up. My question is, If I put 800mhz memory in my computer will it still work.? Thanks for the help.

DDr2 ram is backward compatible. You can mix speeds but it will run at the slowest speed.
You need to verify the max speed your brd wiil take, also the voltage. |
