Re: Quick question about a 480W PSU

Hello Cokerice,
Are you already running in SLI with a 480W? Bad idea my friend, if you are.
A weak power supply can damage ALL of your components.

Use a single card until you can afford or obtain a quality supply that will give you the correct power.

Reading this will help you understand the power requirements of different computer builds.....
Power Supply Information and Selection

If you are still unsure, ask, and we will try to explain.

Re: Quick question about a 480W PSU

Is there any maximum amount of power output i should be aware of? and how do you determine how much is distributed between the 12v rails?

Re: Quick question about a 480W PSU

Max power?
You're PC will only draw what it needs.

There's a sticker on your power supply that tells you how much power is availabe on each rail.

Re: Quick question about a 480W PSU

Cool thanks for your help Houndog! Just one more question to bother ya with though haha. What would you say about this 600 watt powering my system? I found out that my friend has one of these at his house that he doesn't use. Im just wondering if that may cut it..or where do you think that stands?

Hi,
YES
I've read a couple of good reviews of that company. Seems they're just new on the scene.
