I have a problem, i changed the power supply unit (computer completely would not turn on) and changed the cmos battery. when i turn on in the back, lights in front blinks green and yellow lights blinks fast. So i know now it has power. it does not seem to be reading the hard drive, the cd also does not work, i have connected and reconnected over and over again. does not smell burned and fan is working inside. I have an emachine T2385. i did notice that the original power supply box did not have that turn on switch and the new one does. but tiger direct said i could use it.
HELP ME, MY WORK FILES ARE ON THIS COMPUTER! Veronica |

Re: changed psu & macine wont turn on = Help!
generally when the power supply in an emachine system dies it kills the motherboard too ...... thats because they use such cheap PSU's they dont have over load protection or what they have is inadaquate
