Could the size of the RAM affect the computer? For ex. my computer has about 500mb of RAM, would this cause the computer to overload and reboot?

it would cause it to run slow...especially in vista.

Too little ram will cause slowdowns, but not reboots.

If your getting reboots try this program http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php download it and check your temps you your CPU or MOBO Or GPU might be over heating try whats your system specs?
