Power up problem with a HP d530
I tried to power up my HP d530 one morning, the left LED light keeps blinking, fans don't run. Later, I tried it again, the fan runs, but no response on screen and I don't hear the disk clicking sound when it normally boots. Please help.

Re: Power up problem with a HP d530
Hey mikeyyank and welcome to TSF...
would be nice to post system specifications... I could suggest you first to take your display monitor to friends house and test it on his PC... If monitor is ok then we have some other problem... Open the case and take out RAM modules... Clean contacts with rubber and DIMM slots with brush... If you have more then one module, put one first and try to start PC... Do same procedure with other module if you can not see anythin on display... Also, if you have extra graphic card, take graphic card out and clean contacts with rubber and AGP/PCI-E slot with brush... Put back graphic card and start PC... If this does not help, take out CMOS battery and leave it this way for about 1-2 minute... Hit Power button couple of times and then put back CMOS battery... Try to start PC... Hope this will help you mate... Report back please... |
