PC Constantly Crashing, Ram/PSU Related?
Hi guys, every time I run my PC it randomly crashes after a while, maybe a few hours or so. Once it's shutdown and I boot it back up it keeps happening a lot more, in shorter periods of time, I.e it may crash after say 3 hours of running, then when I reboot it'll crash again, and again, and again in a 5 minute time frame or so.
I'm thinking this may be a overheating issue? Because I can't see why leaving it sit for a while reduces the time in which it takes it to crash if it is a different hardware problem. Or could it be a PSU or RAM problem? I'm not sure... I checked eventvwr and it has no recordings of errors or anything, so I have no idea. If you need any info to help diagnose the problem let me know, thanks! EDIT: And by the way, there's no BSOD or any error messages prior to crashing, it just randomly happens. SPECS: AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 1gig DDR ram, 300gig HDD, 460W PSU, not sure about the rest. Last edited by pobri19 : 07-19-2008 at 02:06 AM. |
