Can a 20+4 pin PSU hook up to a 24-pin mobo?

K. And I just found out the mobo he's using right now is a 24-pin with a 20+4pin psu.

20+4 is normal,it caters for a 20 or 24 pin socket m/board the end 4 pins just slide off for a 20 pin board
