I need more RAM

hello sorry that I am not too informed about how to get more RAM and what RAM I have to buy.

I have half a gig right now, and I want at least 1 gig... if it is easier to discard the RAM I have now and get like a new stick of RAM that is fine too
Money is not an issue so if I could get 2GB without much more cost that'd be cool too but I am not gaming on this computer, just photoshop cs3 and video editing (but not in HD)
My comp right now can do everything I need, but it can get pretty laggy in the video editing

So I am assuming I will be told to somehow get info on my motherboard to see what RAM it can use? thanks

Re: I need more RAM

Yea, in order to help you i need your motherboard information. Ill look it up and tell you what kind of RAM you need. if you have a system that was built not-so-recently, chances are you could easily upgrade to 2gb of RAM for a very small amount of money.
