Can't enable Dual Channel
Hi
Until now I had 2x512MB RAM in my computer (DDR). It automatically enabled Dual Channel. However, i just bought one 1GB chip (same manufacturer, Kingmax), and put it with one 512MB chip. The problem is that it's running in Single Channel. And every game performance is slower with 1.5gb ram than 1gb. I benchmarked the memory and with 1.5gb bandwidth is about 3 GB/s, and with 1gb it's 13 GB/s. So is there anything i could do to enable Dual Channel, or do something to increase bandwith? Thanks, Stjepan btw, mbo is Gigabyte 8I865GME-775-RH rev. 2.0 Last edited by Worldliner; 07-11-2008 at 04:21 AM. |
