just a q.q. about my voltages
seen a few threads here about having low voltages, mine seem higher (idle)
+12v - 12.67v +5v - 5.59v +3.3v - 3.33v (ok i guess) (corsair hx520 psu) Is there a range it should be in? My system lags during intense graphic games as well, is this related? (8800gts 320mb). |

Re: just a q.q. about my voltages
Please give full sytem specs ???????/
then we can proceed with some diagnosis BTW: plese enter the bios and get both your ssytem voltages and system temperatures from there, much more accurate than monitoring apps >>>>>>>>>>> download Sensorsview pro and check them too ??? then we can get started

From a Technician's standpoint:
If you're going to worry about things like that, then you should invest $8 or so for a Digital Volt Meter and measure your voltages right at the connectors that plug into the motherboard. NO software application will even come close to the accuracy of a Digital VOM. Voltages from the PSU are further reduced for CPU and RAM by regulators built into the motherboard. Some are even programmable via the settings in the bios. You can always buy a new PSU if its voltages are out of spec, but you can do nothing about the regulators on the mobo, if they are failing. Only a new mobo can fix that. Then too, there are filter capacitors on the motherboard that assist the on-board regulators. If they are bulging or leaking, all bets are OFF! They cannot do their job and neither can the regulators. At that point, a new motherboard is usually required. Good Luck on your quest, The Shadow

Re: just a q.q. about my voltages
I would try another PSU like the corsair TX-650 or better yet 750 watt
your 520 is on the light side for your system; especially when gaming
